'Dustwork' print by Tom Delion

‘Dustwork’ was shot in Nepal in the wake of the April 2015 Nepal Earthquake. A 7.8 magnitude Earthquake that struck Nepal, toppling multi-story buildings in Kathmandu, the capital, and creating landslides and avalanches in the Himalaya Mountains.

‘Dustwork’ was shot in Kathmandu and it focuses on a scene of rebuilding in the city centre. Piles of rubble and bricks sit where a now toppled building once stood. Men stand on the site discussing the best course of action. The image is a tableaux, the natural Sunlight accentuates the activity of various figures within the frame. If you look deeper into the image pockets of life keep on appearing. The photograph is about hope and strength in the face of catastrophe and a willingness as humans to pick ourselves up and move forward.

The print will be a beautifully printed digital C-Type on Fuji Matt paper.

size A2 (23.4 x 16.5 in) with an inch border.
